A good beginning an exciting development and an unfinished, boring and discouraging ending. This is what you’ll find if you read the book “my life”.
It tells the story of a little girl born in a Croatian family in Spain who has to struggle with the language, the clash of cultures and dyslexia in school which leads to some hilarious situations like the “Ten commandments” story at the beginning. She has a lot of wonderful experiences with her family and friends, mostly happy, some sad. Then she grows up to become a journalist following her father’s steps.
Being a journalist is the most exiting part of the story plenty of adventures like some stories about investigating cases of terrorism and corruption in Spain or going to report to the Balkan’s war. The war is too hard to her and she becomes a little sad and depressed. She decides then to go to the US to work as a correspondent first at NY, NY and then at SF, CA. and is happy again and plenty of exciting stories to tell.
But then, the news that her father is dying arrives and she decides to go back to Spain. They were so close, she falls into a deep depression when he dies. And here is where it begins the boring and unfinished part of the book I don’t recommend to anybody.
Unfinished stories are ALWAYS the best (after all, anything finished is dead!)
That’s true. This is why I think there is always room for hope 🙂
