If I were a rich woman,
Yubby dibby dibby dibby dibby dibby dibby dum.
All day long I’d biddy biddy bum.
If I were a wealthy woman…
I could pay for all that
Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum.
If I were a biddy biddy rich,
Idle-diddle-daidle-daidle woman.
I’d buy a lot of tickets to fly all together,
children, grand children and the kids
to fly to Croatia and bring mom home once more.
There would be ninety-two roses on the table,
And plenty of cakes and sweets for all,
And all this in a nice place by the sea.
I’d fill the room full of laughter and jokes and joy
For the town to see and hear.
laughing just as noisily as we can.
With each loud “ha” “ha” “ha” “ha”
Would land like a trumpet on the ear,
As if to say “Here is my lovely mom.”
If I were a rich woman,
Yubby dibby dibby dibby dibby dibby dibby dum.
All day long I’d biddy biddy bum.
If I were a wealthy woman…
I could pay for all that
Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum.
If I were a biddy biddy rich,
Idle-diddle-daidle-daidle woman.
You might not be a rich woman, but your mom is. To have a daughter who would do all that if she could . . . yes . . . she is a rich woman indeed.
Thank you. I’m touched by your comment.
Really enjoyed reading that. Made me smile 🙂
Even if you never become rich I hope you get to take your mom one day
I hope so. Thank You!
