Fresh air and nature wonders

You are on a mission to Mars. Because of the length of of the journey, you will never be able to return to Earth. What about our blue planet will you miss the most?

First of all I’ll miss badly my family and friends. Second I guess I’ll miss fresh air to breath freely and open spaces with the nature wonders we have on earth. Plants, forests, the beach and the Ocean… Everything that’s natural and beautiful. I prefer the blue of our planet Earth than the red of Mars.

I’m claustrophobic so I guess I’ll never volunteer to enter a spaceship for such a mission. Above all if there is not a return ticket. What would I do alone in Mars? A life of exploring mountains of rocks and dirt and searching for nonexistent Martians in a hostile environment completely unnatural to my body doesn’t appeal to me.

In fact I’ve been deeply impressed by the movie “Gravity” with Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. I almost got sick. It was so oppressive!. The sole idea to get in risk to get lost in space, grasping for oxygen to breath, is such nightmare!. I’ll rather stay with both feet firmly on the ground in our beautiful planet Earth.

Longing for Gravity.
