As kids, we’re told, time and again, that lying is wrong. Do you believe that’s always true? In your book, are there any exceptions?
Lies, lies and more lies. We are used to them. Politicians are lying constantly. They deceive us trying to win our votes and gain four more years in power and the possibility to acquire more money, at least is what’s happening over here. With so many lies, there is no way to trust anybody.
We are having these days a singular case of a young man 20 years old, who apparently only by lying was able to use official cars, spend large amounts of money, go to parties with high dignitaries, even get himself invited to the crowning ceremony of the new king of Spain. He made everybody think he was a Very Important Person, with ties with the Spanish spy agency, the police, the Royal Family, politicians and who knows what. And he is a student from a modest family with no money. We don’t know what is true and what’s a lie. Now, he’s been sued by the spy agency and others.
In Spain they say that you catch faster a liar than a lame. So to lie is not worth it.
The truth is that I’m tired. There is some sort of festival in my street with a lot of noise and I can’t think clearly to write something intelligent about lies.
Why doesn’t hate lies? The good thing about them is that the truth will always, sooner or later, be revealed. Is the liar ready to deal with the consequences? Has it been worth the lie?
Hope it gets calmer soon!
I guess once caught, is not worth for the liar. We had a very noisy afternoon and evening. I’m not sure what they were celebrating but it was with frantic music thru speakers and all.
