Too old

If you could clone yourself, how would you split up your responsibilities?

I don’t know how exactly works this business of cloning but I guess that my clone would be at first a bunch of cells in a test tube in a laboratory with an uncertain future.

By the time the clone could take responsibilities I’ll be too old, or maybe no longer among the living.

Even in the hypothetical case that the clone (hocus-pocus!) would materialize suddenly as an adult, it wouldn’t matter, because would be another person different from me and my responsibilities are mine.

Should I use the hypothetical adult clone as a slave without a right to have her own will? I don’t think so. Besides, I don’t like the idea of human cloning.

One question for the prompt editors and the cloning experts: Does the clone inherit illnesses from the original? If is exactly as me, is not worth it the effort. I assure you.

I guess the prompt wants to know what responsibilities we would hand over gladly to others if we had had the opportunity. I can’t even think about it. My family? Never. My job? No. The care of my mom? Never.

Maybe the prompt wants to know what would we do if we had double intelligence, double strength and the ability to be in two places at the same time. In this case, I guess I would end with double activity. I don’t know how to live doing nothing.

Clone Wars.
