One of my closest friends has paid a visit to the oculist recently, and of course, she needed glasses. Now with her new glasses she has discovered she has lots of wrinkles she had never seen before and we also. Suddenly we all have aged several decades at the same time.

    <smile> I love this post. 🙂

I have had a couple of friends comment on being very young when they got their first pair of glasses. Both were startled by the discovery that trees had leaves.

In my early ’40s, I realized I needed reading glasses, Wearing them while talking with colleagues at work, I rediscovered people’s eyes. A revelation for conversations. And people seemed so much more beautiful for it. Conversations so much more intimate.
