Frank Gehry built an imposing edifice for a winery in a little village named Elciego situated in the Bask Country.

The winery, founded by the Marquis of Riscal, in 1858, is the oldest in the region of Alava. At the complex, there are ancient buildings made two centuries ago with stone and bricks. Suddenly, at the top of a smooth hill, it emerges the imposing curvy metal and glass structures of the new hotel designed by Gehry.
It stands in stunning contrast with the traditional architecture of the village.
