Think of your blog as a mirror: what does it reveal? Consider your blog name, theme choice, design, bio, posts… what does every element tell you about yourself?
The first thing I noticed when I checked my blogs was that I have themes designed for photo bloggers and I’m a writer! I love the graphic design with a variety of components and pictures and post excerpts in the front page. Something easy to navigate with a lot of possibilities at a glance. I don’t know why. Maybe because I like images and pictures. Maybe because I’m lazy and disorganized and I need to have everything organized and at hand when I’m working.
I customized both themes looking for colors I like and a text size comfortable to read, also because I like changes. I changed themes several times in blognovic.com and once in Life is Great. I can’t stop changing. I’m considering changing again. I love to experiment with new things.
My blogs names are strange. Blognovic is very old. It’s a joke. a mix between the word blog and my last name which finish in -novic, so Blognovic. Easy to remember to me, very strange to everybody else. Not a good choice. In Life is Great I was looking for something positive but then I added “Despite all what’s happening around us”. (Always a dark line.)
My about pages are boring, descriptive, but at least honest.
My posts? In Blognovic.com they’ll tell you I am a journalist interested in World News and Human Rights. In Life is Great they’ll tell you I need a challenge to get inspired to write about something that is not news. And although sometimes I get a little creative, I think I use to stay too close to home. This is why I ask to myself often if it’s a good idea to keep the blog open or would be better to close it. But then I remember how I love to interact with other bloggers and I stay. So here I am. A disorganized, insecure, with not so much imagination but enthusiastic blogger.
