Tell us about a favorite character from film, theater, or literature, with whom you’d like to have a heart-to-heart. What would you talk about?

I would like to have a good conversation with Atticus Finch. He is a character I admire because of his sense of justice no matter the difficulties he found. I love “To Kill a Mockingbird“. I’ve read the book and I’ve seen the movie many times. Never get tired of it.

Atticus Finch is quite a character. We need people like him today. Honest, unbreakable, a loving father too. I would like to talk with him about justice, life, success and family. I’m sure there are people like Atticus Finch in real life only we don’t know about them. Today is easier to know about instant winners. Maybe not so honest, but successful. Atticus would be a loser by today’s public opinion standards. He lost his trial. His defendant was killed. His family harassed. Everything went wrong. But personally he was a winner, because he worked according to his conscience and looking for justice no matter how difficult it was and his kids loved him. How many unknown people there are today struggling with ordinary difficulties acting according to their conscience heroically?

I would like to find today’s unknown heroes to talk with them about life, success, justice, family…

Great choice! One of the real heros of literature … and Peck wasn’t far off himself from the character he portrayed. I’d have liked to meet him, too!

Must have been an incredibly emotional film to make – it will always tug at my soul!
