Write about a noise — or even a silence — that won’t go away.

Explosion. Windows rattling because of the expansive wave. A bomb. Something awful have happened. Running to the scene to report about it. Death. Destruction. Screaming.  Ambulances. Police cars. Sirens. Blood. Suffering. Confusion. Rage. Pain. I know the victim. Hits me as a punch in the stomach. Leaves me dumbed. Praying. Trying to overcome and do my job in the middle of all this. Sounds, feelings and and images that won’t go away.
