She couldn’t think straight. Her head was a labyrinth of conflicting feelings that caused her great pain and had no way out.

Alone at home, she was scared, tired, terribly sad, and felt guilty about everything in her life. A life that she didn’t want to live that way. She sensed danger and called her psychiatrist, but he was busy with another patient. The anguish was growing fast.

It wasn’t like in the movies. The woman didn’t write a note to explain what had no explanation. She just took her coat and went out of the house. Slowly, she walked, not noticing the few people that passed by, to found herself half an hour later, sitting on the edge of the city wall, in a remote place of the park, to jump down. The morning was beautiful, and a fresh breeze caressed her face and dried her tears. What a lovely day to lose the battle against depression!.

Suddenly she heard a voice coming from down:

-Are you OK up there?

she moved her head to said no without talking

-OK. Don’t move. Just wait. Help is in its way.

And sure, two police officers arrived and, with strong arms, took her away from the wall.

-You are not feeling well, are you? Indeed, there are people worried about you. Let us help you.
She continued almost mute, shivering. An ambulance arrived, and they transferred her to the hospital, where she began her recovery.
